Marathon starts you out with a custom-designed brand stationery template . . . created to your specifications. This template becomes the “frame” of your HTML e-mails.

A flexible menu of content layouts that require no HTML knowledge makes creating your campaigns very simple. You can add content, images and links. Send instantly with the click of a button or schedule your mailing to begin later. The service will automatically deliver the HTML version of your campaign to anyone who can receive HTML, and a text-only version (which has already been created for you) to anyone who can’t.

Managing Your Mailing List

When you get ready to send, the service makes sure that every e-mail is individually crafted and personally addressed. No need to worry about generic aliases or e-mails that show your entire address book to the world. Mailing list features allow you to organize your recipients into groups, create new groups, move people around, and update client information. The TrueRemove™ system automatically handles opt-outs instantly and permanently.

Tracking Your Responses

The service allows you to see who opened your campaign, clicked on every link, forwarded your e-mail to friends or signed up to get your future e-mails. Because a complete history of results is kept for every campaign you’ve ever sent, you can see how you’re doing over time and use what you learn to help shape your future campaigns and generate even better results. Need to export your results to create a report for use elsewhere? You can do just that with one click.

NEW! Trigger E-mail Feature

Trigger e-mails send automatically whenever one of your recipients does something—like signing up to get your e-mails, having a birthday, or clicking a link in one of your campaigns. Triggers allow you to reach people the moment they’re most likely to read and respond—on their schedule, not yours. And they can really complement your broader, audience-wide news- letters and campaigns. Best of all the trigger feature is free— you’ll only pay for the e-mails you send using it.

Instead of trying to send a document as an attachment, recreating the content in your e-mail, or enlisting the help of an IT person to post the file somewhere on a server, you can instantly post that file to our server and link right to it from your campaign. You’ll upload files just like you would an image, then link to them just like you would a website or e-mail address. And because these are track-able links, you’ll know exactly how many people, and who clicked and downloaded your document.

Your document library can store all sorts of files: PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations, Flash movies, Quicktime videos, MPEGs, WAVs and MP3s. Zipped files also work, as do Keynote presentations and documents created using Pages. Your document library shows you each file’s size and labels it according to type.

Each account is equipped with 1 megabyte (MB) of storage—enough for 5 to 10 documents of average size. More documents can be stored at an additional monthly charge: $10 for every 2.5 MB.

Account Setup: $195

Includes one hour of design time to create your brand stationery template, which is the frame for your e-mails. Also includes getting the account set up and ready for you to begin sending e-mails. Accounts are typically active within 3 days of approved stationery design.

Additional Brand Stationery Templates: $125

There may be instances where you wish to have more than one brand stationery template to choose from. Marathon can design additional templates to serve all your marketing needs.

Cost Per E-mail: 1.5¢

Pay just 1.5¢ for each address per campaign sent. If your monthly total does not exceed $10, you will be billed a minimum charge of $10. However, pay nothing during those months you do not use the service.

Document Library Charge: $10 per month

1 MB of space is included with each account. Anything over 1 MB is billed an additional $10 per month per 2.5 MB of space.
